quick caricature at APE

I did quick caricature for about 23 people at APE.  I forgot my memory card of camera on Sunday so I only had these. It was my second time so I wasn't too nervous. Good practice to draw quick.

I painted this in "studio" which is sort of abandoned kitchen. It was perfect space to use as a studio, bright enough and have electronic.  Picture I took was in the morning at around 7am. I couldn't get the dramatic sunrise light because it was foggy but I still enjoy to paint.  

week 1

Today I went to field trip for my landscape painting class. It was cold and foggy so I struggled a little bit.  Using a color, brush strokes, and atmosphere was challenge.

This is my hand-made landscape kit out of card board box. It turns out not bad but need little improvement. At least it doesn't cost hundred or plus so I like it.

A Christmas Tree

Friend of mine asked me to design bakery sign for his 3d animation. I love to design sign for bakery. It was super fun so I did more thumbnails than he asked me for. Final matt painting was little tough and I know I'm not good at it but it was good experience after all.

I did this for a little boy. It was so much fun to draw just for amusing a little child. I hope he likes it.

Matt painting

I did matt painting for group project, A Christmas tree. It was hard in the beginning but I had fun later on. Matt painting is not really my thing but I want to try more of them.

Basquiat

character design, set design, and props base on story of American artist, Basquiat. 

Draw4Drawing

I joined "Draw4Drawing" with other friends.  Everyday we will have one random Olympic sport theme to draw. This is just beginning. I will keep posting how much I improve!

Advenced perspective class

I finally done with spring semester which means time to update my blog. I painted two of them from top by gouache. bottom one is photoshop. I will definitely try more of cartoonish style during summer intersection.

Figurative painting

These are my assignment for Zhaoming Wu's class. It was tough class but I learned the new medium and I was able to see Zhaoming's Demo. Worth to take his class.
